Erotic hAIkus
In a world oversaturated with images, the erotic often fades into a predictable flow, dulling the intimate space of connection with the other. In response to this contemporary drift, this series explores another way of embodying desire through the image. It begins with erotic haikus written by Jordi Pagès Pedrola. These texts prompt the creation of initial sketches using artificial intelligence—drafts that gradually take on physical presence through cyanotype, painting and collage. The works unfold in a space of uncertainty, where the visible gives way to the intuition of what exists only in the penumbra.
From that first digital trace, a sustained dialogue emerges between technology and artistic gesture. The image lets go of its literal form and becomes something more open, more sensitive—resistant to fixed meaning. Rather than illustrating the poem, it allows something to linger, to remain unresolved in our gaze. In that space, the viewer is invited to dwell, to reflect on the global and codified ways we evoke desire.
